This project is implemented by CRY Uganda in Acholi and Lango sub region in northern Uganda as a contribution to the plan for recovery and development programme of the government of Uganda.

This is a joint partnership project between CRY Uganda, War Child Holland and Kitgum Concerned Women Association. This is being done in the northern districts of Kitgum, Lira and Amuru. It is funded by EU under the Northern Uganda Reconstrcution Programme or NUREP.

The strategy for this project is the use of modern debate, peace theatre, sports for peace, ICT, annual youth peace camp and BIG Deal high-impact tools for peace building.

This project also engages youth and children in the communities and those in schools to create peaceable communities. This in done in a partnership framework. A sizable target of this project are young people that were directly affected by the armed conflict in northern Uganda. These include ex combatant, former child soldiers and teachers.
